This was simply a hearing where the Senate decides if, in their opinion, the nominee is fit to serve. Ford wanted to be heard and she was. Some wanted an investigation into her allegations and investigations were conducted. No one in the hearings slandered or belittled her and the evidence of Kavanaugh's past exemplary behavior was far more evident than that of any bad behavior.
